ABOUT STRAY CERAMICS

Stray Ceramics was created by ceramic artist Tayler Straziuso in 2018. She grew up in Long Beach, CA where her love for ceramics began. Her clay journey started off in high school where she found the confidence to pursue a life as an artist. She then went on to get her BA in Studio Art, focusing on ceramics, at Cal State Long Beach. Today she plays with clay and fire in her home studio located in Wonder Valley, CA.

Stray Ceramics focuses on celebrating the female form and making everyday ceramics for all the badass misfits that live life a little differently. She finds inspiration from the beautiful California desert, the creatures that live in it, biker culture and the smile a person has when seeing some boobs or a penis on a cup or mug. She has fun making the work and wants her customers to have just as much fun when interacting with her work.

Why Stray Ceramics? Tayler came up with the name while traveling through Mexico for 3 months in 2017. Stray was inspired by her love for solo travel and from the first four letters in her last name STRAziuso.
